HOW CAN WE MAKE CARS MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT?



If you ask The Delft University of Technology student engineers behind the Ecorunner V, they’d say that reducing drag is a big part of the answer. Theirs is the most aerodynamic car ever, with a record-breaking drag coefficient of 0.0512. 
By comparison, most production cars are about six times less aerodynamic. The Ford Focus ST has a drag coefficient of 0.3, while the Volkswagen Golf comes in at 0.27.
